Not of This Earth is a 1988 remake of the 1957 science fiction-horror Not of This Earth. The film was directed by Jim Wynorsky. The film was made as a result of a wager where Wynorsky bet he could remake the film in the same (inflation-adjusted) budget and schedule as the 1957 version by Corman.[1]

This film starred Traci Lords (in her first mainstream film role after a brief adult film career)[2] as a nurse,[3] Arthur Roberts as Mr. Johnson the alien, Lenny Juliano as Jeremy, Roger Lodge as Harry the patrolman, Ace Mask as Dr. Rochelle and Kelli Maroney as Nurse Oxford. This film marks the last time Traci Lords appears nude in a motion picture.[4]

An alien (Arthur Roberts) travels to Earth seeking a new supply of blood for his dying world. Initially he seeks a supply through the medical establishment, using special mental powers and money to accomplish his aim. The film is campy and Lords adds a comedic twist to the plot.[5]

On November 2, 2010, Shout! Factory released the film on DVD as part of its Roger Corman Cult Classics collection. [6]
